Interfaith Roundtable of Kauai holds MLK Jr. contest for kids

LIHUE — Interfaith Roundtable of Kauai is is holding a contest for kids between the ages of 5 to 12 to design their own poster honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Keiki can win $10, $25 or $50 and everyone who enters will receive a prize.

The poster must include a phrase or word(s) that represent the ideals of King. Entries must be on paper 8 1/2-by-11 inches and must be postmarked by Jan. 9. Include the child’s name, age, school and home phone number.

Prizes will be awarded on Jan. 16 to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
