High surf warning in effect until Saturday

A high surf warning is in effect for north- and west-facing shores of Kauai through Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

A northwest swell will cause advisory- and warning-level surf along exposed shorelines, according to the report.

The current northeast swell will slowly decrease.

Surf is forecast to rise to 20- to 25-feet along north- and west-facing shores of Kauai and north-facing shores of Oahu, Molokai and Maui.
