HONOLULU — Leslie Kobata has been named the next registrar for the Department of Land and Natural Resources Bureau of Conveyances, the statewide recording office which examines records and indexes more than 344,000 land and property documents and maps annually.
HONOLULU — Leslie Kobata has been named the next registrar for the Department of Land and Natural Resources Bureau of Conveyances, the statewide recording office which examines records and indexes more than 344,000 land and property documents and maps annually.
“Les is an outstanding, innovative and approachable leader,” said DLNR Chair Suzanne Case.
Kobata has served as the deputy registrar in the DLNR Bureau of Conveyances since 2011. He was born and raised in Honolulu, graduated from Kaimuki High School and the University of Hawaii-Manoa with a degree in travel industry management, and spent 18 years in sales and management at GTE Hawaiian Tel.
