LIHUE — Registration for the Boys and Girls Winter Basketball League will begin this week. “To facilitate the process, we’re going to handle things a little differently this year,” said Lenny Rapozo, director of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
LIHUE — Registration for the Boys and Girls Winter Basketball League will begin this week.
“To facilitate the process, we’re going to handle things a little differently this year,” said Lenny Rapozo, director of the Department of Parks and Recreation. “Youngsters who are new to basketball are asked to sign up at their respective neighborhood centers during the registration period. Those that have played before should contact their coaches directly to register.”
Registration will be held at the Kilauea, Kapaa, Lihue and Waimea neighborhood centers from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. on the following dates:
– Division I, grades four to six: Tuesday and Wednesday.
– Division II, grades seven and eight: Dec. 12 through Dec. 13.
The cost for each participant is $30.
The tentative start date for the games is Jan. 9.
