Luzonia ‘Lydia’ Tolentino Bernardo
Luzonia “Lydia” Tolentino Bernardo of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on Nov. 8, 2016, at the age of 72 at Garden Island Health Care.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1944, in San Mateo, Isabela Philippines.
She was retired from Hilton Hotel.
Preceded in death by: parents, Mamerto and Laurencia Tolentino, brother’s, Cardenio Sr., and Narcisco Tolentino, son’s, Isidro Jr., Renato Bernardo.
Survived by: husband, Isidro Bernardo, daughters, Merly (Jonathan Sr.) Fatu, Juliet (Kevin Jones) Ruiz, Jeanie (Chris) Tavares, sons, Alex (Olivia) Bernardo, Bernard (Tisha) Bernardo; sisters Rosenda (Dominador) Tumamao, Virginia (Carlos) Bernardo, Remy (Michael) Inouye, Linda (Resty) Bernardo, Francesca (Jean-Paul) Taylor; brothers, Dominador (Medina) Tolentino, Mamerto (Helen) Tolentino, Danilo Tolentino, Juanito (Cathy) Tolentino; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; numerous Aunties, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. with service at 10:30 a.m.
Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery

Ines Bumanglag Macatombas
Ines Bumanglag Macatombas died peacefully at her home in Hanamaulu on Oct. 22, 2016, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her husband Isabelo Barayuga Macatombas Sr., parents Cecilia Bonilla and Bonifacio Gonzales Bumanglag, and sister Rita Inovero.
She was born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on April 20, 1934. She was a self-employed seamstress, laundry attendant for Coco Palms Hotel, and a bus aide for Akita Enterprises, Ltd.
Ines is survived by her sons “Billy” Jr. and Victor (Wendy) Macatombas of Hanamaulu, daughters Cynthia (Scott) Libert of Lihue and Irene Macatombas of Washington state, grandsons Matthew (Lovie) and David Macatombas, granddaughters Jasmine Libert and Rachael Macatombas, great-grandson Lokela Kiyoji Kealoha Kelekoma-Macatombas, brothers Quirino (Jesusa), Gavino (Isabel), Chris (Anastacia), Manuel (Rosalinda), Rudy (Lori) all of Oahu, Luciano Ponciano “Larry” (Lei) Bumanglag of Salinas, CA and sisters Fidela (Serafin) Arzaga, Linda (Tony) Salvador both of Oahu and Servilliana (Ponciano) Fiesta of the Philippines.
Private services were held and burial followed at Kauai Memorial Gardens. The family acknowledges Pastor “Dong” and Connie Nadarisay of The Way of Salvation Church and Kauai Adult Day Health Center.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Macatombas family with arrangements.
Daniel Paul O’Flaherty
Daniel Paul O’Flaherty of Haena, passed away on Nov. 9, 2016, at the age of 30 in Haena. Born on April 15, 1986, in Poipu, he was a Security Guard for Allied Universal Security.
He is survived by his father, Raymond S. O’Flaherty; brothers, Jonathan O’Flaherty and Sean O’Flaherty of Kalaheo; sisters, Rachel O’Flaherty of Kalaheo, Holly O’Flaherty of Lawai, and Melinda O’Flaherty of Kalaheo; grandmothers, Margaret O’Flaherty and Holly Sutherland Hicks; along with numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at the Kaua’i Christian Fellowship Church in Koloa. Visitation with the family will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Services will begin at 2 p.m. with light refreshments being served.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcomed.

With great sadness we say goodbye to the beloved daughter of Mildred M. de Busca-Andrade Pereira and late Adam G. Pereira from Wailua Homesteads.
Debbie was a beautiful soul who loved her family and friends. Anywhere she went, Debbie’s smile always lit up the room. Her main focus in life was to provide a good life for her son Kawika.
Predeceased by her husband Rick Morse, Debbie passed away on Nov. 1, 2016, at the age of 64 in Newport Beach, Calif. Donations may be sent to Kawika Morse at: 1936 Orange Ave., Costa Mesa, CA. 92627. Any and all help for the family is greatly appreciated.

Charles Yokoo, 71, retired Chef and Army veteran, passed away at home on Oct. 31, 2016, in Kalaheo, Kauai.
He is survived by his siblings, Jane Yokoo, Molly Flansburg, Lois Hirata, Kay Amor, Nancy Yokoo, Joyce Casey, Cora Yokoo, Faith Moniz, and Curtis Yokoo.

Jon Holua Togioka, 34 years old of Kekaha, Kauai passed away on Nov. 1, 2016.
Survived by his Father: Nelson (Cathy) Togioka of Waimea, Mother: Darlene Rapozo of Big Island, Fiancé Shelsy Sasaki of Kalaheo, his 3 children Maddison and Makaio Togioka of Kalaheo and Tehani Togioka of Hanapepe, sister: Leola Togioka of Wailua, brother: Micah Togioka of Kekaha, sister: Tara Martin of Kekaha and numerous step siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Domingo S. Lutao Sr.
Domingo S. Lutao Sr., of Kaumakani, Hawaii, passed away at home on Nov. 11, 2016, at the age of 92. Born on May 25, 1924, in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii, he was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for the Olokele Sugar Plantation.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gomercinda “Ming” Lutao.
Domingo is survived by his sons, Domingo (Rhonda) Lutao Jr., of Kalaheo, Richard (Leslie) Lutao of Kaumakani, and Lester (Laura) Lutao of Kaumakani; daughter, Rosemary (Rev./Dr. George) Nagato of Honolulu; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at the Kaua’i Veteran’s Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
