Tickets for football game available online

LIHUE — Tickets for the First Hawaiian Bank Hawaii High School Athletic Association football Division II state tournament semifinals are available online using a credit card through the digital ticketing app, GoFan.

Football fans who purchase their tickets online must bring their smart phone to the game for admission, said Lois Keamoai of the Waimea High School athletic department.

Game time for the semifinal at Vidinha Stadium is 2:30 p.m. Nov. 12 between Kapaa and Damien Memorial, who defeated Waialua High School 40-0 in the quarterfinals on Friday.

“This digital ticketing option will finally give fans the ability to use a credit card to purchase tickets,” said Chris Chun, HHSAA executive director. “This will allow fans to skip long lines at the box office, especially during our state football state championships where there is a high volume of game-day sales.”

Keamoai said ticket prices are $8 for general admission and $6 for seniors and children 12-and-under.

Once the tickets are purchased, fans can view the tickets and present it at the gate for entry.

“You need to have your smart phone,” Keamoai said. “Once we see the ticket, there is a verification process so fans must have a smart phone with Internet access at the gate to redeem their tickets.”

HHSAA launched the online ticketing option last week through GoFan.

Huddle, Inc. was selected by the HHSAA as its digital ticketing provider for its state tournaments for the next five years. The NFHS Network recently designated Huddle as its exclusive partner for a national rollout of digital ticketing for high school sports. The NFHS Network is a joint venture of the National Federation of State High School Associations, its member state association, and PlayOn Sports.

To purchase tickets, go to https://gofan.co/app/school/HHSAA, or for more information on the HHSAA digital ticketing procedure, visit www.sportshigh.com/resources/go-fan.

The Huddle digital ticketing platform, GoFan, is free to download on both the Apple and Android stores.

Once in the app, fans can search for HHSAA, select the event and quantity of tickets, and purchase tickets using a credit card.
