Columnist far from fair with Clinton

I appreciate our freedom of speech and press. But I also appreciate a fair and balanced article which should be important to the editors of The Garden Island newspaper.

Ms. Lopez says that Hillary has a “miss” on protecting and nourishing life. The fact that she has spent 40 years working for the health of children and the importance of family and even succeeded in establishing a health insurance program for children doesn’t count?

The fact that the Clinton Foundation has done a ton of work the world over to end Aids, get pure water which means health to countries in Africa — doesn’t count?

Oh, I see, if you are for a woman’s right to choose, you are a “miss” in Catholic terms. As a good American, I believe in freedom of religion, and the right of any religion to believe what they want. But please don’t call me and others down for our beliefs.

Peter B. Sterne, Koloa
