Sachie Otoman of Kekaha passed away on Sept. 8, 2016, at KVMH Long Term at the age of 89. Born on Nov. 15, 1927, in Waimea, Kauai, she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by Sherry Ann Otoman and Sidney Nishiyama; brother, Yonechi Nishiyama; and sisters, Yayo (Roy) Tanioka, Moyo (Marcelo) Rapanot and Chisae Nishiyama.
Sachie is survived by her husband, Cipriano Otoman; sons, Michael (Marynel) Otoman of Ewa, Oahu, Gene (Elaine) Otoman of Waimea, Kauai, David Otoman of Kekaha, Kauai, and Joseph Otoman of Kekaha, Kauai; daughters, Judy (Guy) Fujita of Waimea, Kauai and Lisa (Robin) Murayama of Lihue, Kauai; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. with services to begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be followed at the Kekaha Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested.
