Two “Lunch and Learn” seminars on estate planning and charitable giving are scheduled next week.
The programs presented by The Salvation Army will take a look at several areas, including:
w The structure and benefits of a living trust.
w Turning under-productive real estate into an income stream.
w Charitable gift opportunities that benefit both family and community.
w Using charitable gifts to maximize your income and minimize your income taxes.
The information will be presented by Michelle Ogata, attorney, Estate Planning Group; Kyle Karioka, divisional director of planning giving with The Salvation Army.
The program are set for 10 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Duke’s restaurant in Lihue and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the Sheraton Kauai Resort.
Reservations are necessary. Lunch will be served.
