Florentina Cadelina Acob

Florentina Cadelina Acob 95 years old, of Omao, Kauai passed away on August 17, 2016 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 21, 1921 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a homemaker.

Preceded in death by her parents Monico & Juana Cadelina, husband Felipe Acob, Sr.,

2 sons Marcelino & Francisco Acob, and 2 daughters Florenda Domingo & Mariefe Acosta

Survived by her Sister: Rufina Eder, 4) Sons: Roberto Acob, Dominador (Marilyn) Acob, Felipe (Elsie) Acob, Jr., Ramon Acob, 6) Daughters: Cleotilde Vea, Anita (Benjamin) Corpuz, Fe Esposo

Arecia (Peter) Lapuebla, Norma Acob & Cindy (Kenji) Marugame 35) Grandchildren, 54) great grandchildren & 11) great-great grandchildren

Friends may visit with the family on Friday Sept. 16, 2016 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m.

Again on Saturday Sept. 17, 2016 at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihue cemetery.

Fumie H. Takemoto

Fumie H. Takemoto of Hanapepe, Hawaii, passed away at home on July 30, 2016 at the age of 95. Born in Moloa’a, Hawai’i on Oct. 30, 1920 she was a cafeteria worker at Kalaheo School.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Masashi Takemoto; and parents, Taemon Hashizume and Kinu Ozaki Hashizume.

Fumie is survived by her son, Dennis K. Takemoto of Hanapepe; three grandchildren, Ken, Mark and Tracy; five great-grandchildren, Kiernan, Tyde, Hunter, Tevyn, and Archer; brothers, Taichi Hashizume of Wailuea and Shoichi Hashizume of Monterey Park, California; and sisters, Loraine Michie Fujiwara of Salt Lake, O’ahu and Ellen Kimie Matsuyama of Pearl City.

Private services were held.

Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
