Diana ‘Lady D’ Victoria Rylands
Diana “Lady D” Victoria Rylands of Kilauea passed away at home on Aug. 14, 2016, at the age of 70. She was born in England on April 23, 1946, and was the proprietor of Hanalei Wishing Well Shave Ice.
Diana is survived by her husband, Allen Akira Harada; brothers, Christopher (Melinda) Rylands and John (Terisa) Rylands; in-laws, Wilbert “Afuk” and Lily Tai Hook, Alfred “Yoshi” and Elizabeth “Nani” Harada, Roy “Bull” Harada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services to be announced at a later date.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Ronald ‘Ron’ Yukio Egusa
Ronald “Ron” Yukio Egusa was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Tom and Peggy (Tagami) Egusa on Feb. 11, 1948. Sadly, Ron died on July 27, 2016, on Kauai at the age of 68. He was a member of the Santa Clara Fire Department for nearly 28 years where he retired as Captain.
Ron is survived by his wife, Melissa Robertson Egusa, his daughter Kristina Egusa (granddaughter Leila), sons Mark Egusa and Joshua Rosario (grandson Aidan), and daughter-in-law, Toni Alysse Rosario. He is also survived by his brothers Richard (Michelle), David (Donna), and Michael (Jolie) Egusa, and sister-in-law, Susan Heichel as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews and his beloved dog, Betsey.
His celebration of life will take place on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 1 p.m. at Mission Springs Community Church located at 48989 Millmont Drive, Fremont, CA, 94538.

Mitsugi Takahashi
Mitsugi Takahashi of Lihue passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on Aug. 12, 2016, at the age of 88. He was born in Haleiwa, Oahu, on Dec. 27, 1927, and retired from Lihue Sugar Plantation as a carpenter.
Mitsugi is survived by his wife, June Takahashi; two sons, Miles (Job Ramirez) Takahashi of Seattle, Washington, and Alvin Takahashi; one daughter, Grace (James) Gonser; sister, Tsuneko Katsura of Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family requests no koden. Private services held.

Flora Cadabona Ramelb
Flora Cadabona Ramelb, 92, of Lihue passed away on Aug. 18, 2016, at Garden Island Healthcare Center.
Born on June 16, 1924 in Makaweli, Kauai, she was a retired janitor for the County of Kauai.
She is survived by her son, Vicente Ramelb; daughter, Violeta Batangan; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
