Whoa! This was National Farmers Market Week? See what happens when John McClure and Laurie Ho don’t show up? We miss all the good stuff. But it’s alright since we had Amber McClure and the Amber-look-alike Nia Klutke (still gotta stop by Rob’s for a burger) holding down the fort since Sandi Kato-Klutke was busy making sushi for the YWCA Sandy G golf tournament (kudos to Renae Hamilton and Lawrence Mendoca’s ‘ohana on another good event — what happened to Shelley Paik’s golf clubs?).
Chef Joe Fox of the Kauai Beer Company (was nice to see Chef Rafael Camarillo and his ‘ohana at the Food Truck Thursday) was out in the rain shopping for his supply of greens from the Ho‘ouluwehi booth (they also celebrated reaching a milestone of reaching a certain level of sales, too!).
OK, time to go check out who is at the Mango thingie in Waipa. Next week, we have Sarah Tochiki hosting the Tachibana High School Marching Band (ever try to hold rein on horses?), and then, there’s the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Northshore at the Kauai Christian Academy site in Kilauea.
