PUHI — The public is advised that a portion of Leleiona Street west of the Puhi Road intersection will be closed to eastbound traffic for about one week starting Monday, Aug. 15 to allow for a concrete pour. Westbound traffic will be allowed onto Leleiona Street from Puhi Road.
Motorists travelling on Leleiona Street will need to use Kikowaena Street (Grove Farm access road) to get to Kaumuali‘i Highway.
The work on Le leiona Street is part of the Puhi Road Rehabilitation project, which is expected to be completed early next year weather permitting.
The project includes full-depth reconstruction using Portland cement concrete to support the heavy truck traffic on the roadway. The project also includes the installation of sidewalks and bike lanes, as well as drainage improvements.
