Brent Mizutani said it best — it was crazy kind of good!
Kudos to Wade Lord, Stacie Chiba-Miguel, Haley Lord, Chantal Zarbaugh (got to see Roberta Zarbaugh Saturday, too!), and all the army of volunteers (Sheena Juliano was there to pack, and to distribute, and had to go to work midway through all the excitement, too!) on making Saturday the best Back to School Bash yet.
The event was so good Autumn Wigley came down from Honolulu as did Ruchita Chand of HMSA.
Sharon Lasker of the Backpack Brigade was jockeying between the Back to School Bash and the Backpack Brigade where Kaytlen Akau was the only Girl Scout remaining with the five backpacks they donated. Mel Rapozo was checking with the child seat inspection crew (Tito Villanueva was doing extra duty — good thing he’s with American Medical Response) before dropping off his backpack with Sharon.
Sherry and Dana Gonsalves make a good team, working through the distribution before moving over to the Subaru Fill the Subaru with School Supplies for Kumu’s Cupboard, and Kelvin Moniz and Leona Perez had to call it an early day (Leona couldn’t even get school supplies for her kids), but Blanche Acoba made arrangements for her two daughters before heading off to work.
