Tom Byrnes
Tom Byrnes passed away peacefully at his home on July 9, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy and survived by his loving wife, Debbie of 45 years; son, Jeff; daughter, Jane; grandchildren, Blake and Avalon; sister, Linda; two nephews; and one niece.
Tom was a surfer through and though who just loved the water. Growing up in Sunset Beach California, he made his own surf board and fell in love with the love of his life, Debbie. From the time they met, they were inseparable. If there ever was two people meant to be together, it was Tom and Debbie. They both fell in love with the island of Kaua’i and moved here back in 1988. Tom surfed every day and made great friendships along the way. He had a kind soul and was loved by all that met him. He will be truly missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held this Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Kalapaki Beach Park at 10:30 a.m. A paddle out will be followed to take Tom out to sea where he loved to be.
