PRINCEVILLE — The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas announced its eighth annual Charity Golf Tournament will be Sunday, July 17 at the Makai Golf Club at Princeville. Proceeds will benefit charitable organizations on Kauai.
Price is $125 per entrant and will include cart, green fees, gift bag and an awards luncheon on the “19th hole” at The Westin Princeville’s Main Lawn with live entertainment and prizes.
A helicopter ball drop is scheduled in conjunction with the tournament. Tickets for the ball drop will be $10 each and the prizes included $1,500 cash for first place, $1,000 for second place and $500 for third place. A total of over $60,000 has been raised since the tournament’s inception in 2009.
“We welcome participants to join our annual Charity Golf Tournament as a way to give back to our island ohana while having a great time and the opportunity to win wonderful prizes,” said General Manager Denise Wardlow in a release.
The Westin Princeville continues to welcome golfers to register as well as sponsors for the event. The resort’s ongoing commitment to Kauai charitable organizations has generated over $350,000 to benefit the community since the resort’s opening in 2008.
