Aerial crane moves quickly

LIHUE — A Jack Harter helicopter delivered air conditioning units to the roof of the Kukui Grove Center on Monday.

“One up, four down,” said Casey Reimer, general manager of Jack Harter Helicopters.

The effort to move a new air conditioning unit to the rooftop and remove four non-functioning units for Kauai Air Conditioning & Refrigeration was done in less than two hours.

“We were out of there just after 7 a.m.,” Reimer said. “It was a pretty smooth operation.”We added the AStar to the pool of external load aircraft. This gives Jack Harter Helicopters the capability to lift precision loads with weights up to 2,200 pounds.”

The AStar helicopter joins the MD500E helicopters which have been used for years for lifting construction materials, water for fire fighting and radio broadcasting equipment to remote locations around Kauai.
