Happy Camper for March 25, 2016

Chantal Zarbaugh is pretty stoked about being able to make a rabbit out of a paper package. The rabbit is part of the craft segment at the Spring Celebration which takes place at the Kukui Grove Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Sharon Jacobs didn’t have a quilt in this year’s Kauai Quilt Show since she sent her piece off for a wedding. But she is getting ready for next year as she worked on a project while gallery sitting. And talk about a score — Joanne Watson was also gallery sitting, but instead of working on a quilt, she was doing a sock and all the ladies thought Aunty Vicky Ramos’ crochet class was the cutest thing they heard about.

They’re looking forward to seeing great things happen to Natalie Zyskowski (did they go to Mariachi’s for lunch?) who learned how to crochet from watching YouTube and is already being a helper after just five months.

OK, time to get in the swing for Easter with Violet Asuncion, Pono Breeze, the Easter Bunny (no Easter Egg hunt), temporary tattoos, balloon artistry, and more … and, don’t forget, the Kmart recycling site is closed, Saturday!

Happy Easter!
