LIHUE — The Mokihana Club is inviting graduating high school music students to apply for the annual music scholarship competition.
To be eligible, applicants must have resided on Kauai for four months prior to the April 6 music scholarship competition; be a senior graduating in 2016 who is a student of voice, piano, strings, woodwinds or brass instruments; and be planning to attend an accredited college, university, vocational school, or study with a qualified music teacher.
Applications are available at local high schools and must be postmarked no later than March 14.
The process culminates in a recital by the finalists at the Lihue Parish Hall.
