Marciana Malvar Quetula
Marciana Malvar Quetula of Lihue passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 15, 2015, at the age of 79. She was born in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on July 12, 1936, and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Quetula; son, George Quetula; daughter, Elizabeth Quetula.
She is survived two sons, Teddy (Melanie) Quetula and William (Eileen) Quetula; four grandchildren; numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins in the Philippines.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Rudolpho ‘Rudy’ Ely Abara
Rudolpho “Rudy” Ely of Lihue passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 20, 2015, at the age of 65. He was born in Lihue on April 26, 1950, and was the proprietor of Rudy’s Pressure Washing Services.
He was preceded in death by his father, Augustine Abara; sister, Evelyn Branco; niece, Caryn Abara.
Rudolpho is survived by his wife, Juanita Abara of Lihue; daughter, Jeannette (Shane) Markham of Puhi; sons, Rubin Abara of Lihue, Ryan Abara of Lihue; mother, Mary Abara of Lihue; sisters, Leonida (James) Cuaresma and Evangeline (Bob) Cuaresma, both of Kapaa; brothers, Orlando (Carol) Abara of Omao, William (Rochelle) Abara of Koloa; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Momi Ann Keaupuni Kaneakua of Hanamaulu passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 16, 2015, at the age of 59. She was born in Honolulu on September 12, 1956, and was employed by Kauai Police Department as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Kaneakua Jr.; nephew, Dustin Kaina Kaneakua; paternal grandparents, James and Louise Kaneakua; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Caroline Apao Sr.
Momi is survived by her husband, Peter Amaral; son, Shiloh (Senja Miyamoto) Kaneakua of Lawai; daughters, Alyssa-DeShae (Hanson Hsu) Kaneakua of Wailua Homesteads, Cherina LeRae (Tony) Kaneakua-Medeiros of Koloa; parents, James and Beverly Kaneakua; 12 grandchildren, Bryce Dato, Kyven-James Dato, Sabryn Dato, Macyn Dato, Chayse Garcia, Niko Laborte, Cheylee Laborte, Khloe Laborte, Shiloh Kaneakua Jr., Alissa May Kaneakua, S’hirus Kaneakua, Urijah Kaneakua; brother,David (Mita) Kaneakua Sr. of Wailua Homesteads, Wesric (Andrea) Kaneakua Sr. of Kapaa; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nora Enos
Nora Nunes Correia Enos of Lihue passed away in Lihue on December 10, 2015, at the age of 91. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 12, 1924, and was a dedicated homemaker and a graduate of Wallace Rider Farrington High School, Class of 1942. She worked for a brief period at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a clerk and messenger. She raised three sons and enjoyed camping and fishing with the Hawaiian Telephone gang. She was active in the Pua Loke association and Lihue Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gareth Enos Sr., parents, Frank and Nancy Chang Correia and brother, Sonny Correia.
Nora is survived by three sons, Gregory (Sharon) Enos of Lihue, Gareth Enos Jr. of Lihue, Genesis Enos of Big Island Hawaii; five grandchildren, Gavin K. Enos, Gaylin I. (Joseph) Pagan, Gregory (Breena) Enos Jr., Genesis K. (Lopaka) Kepo’o, Gabrielle (Christopher) Whitworth; two great-grandchildren, Linkin Enos and Graycen Enos; two sisters, Rose “Girlie” Smith of Kaneohe, Alma Galbraith of Virginia; two brothers, Frank N. Correia Jr. of Kaneohe, Rudolph “Rudy” Correia of Kaneohe; caregivers, Shirley Negrillo and Ohana; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Lihue Parish Hall, 4340 Nawiliwili Rd., with visitation from 10 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Pa’ina to follow.

Patrick “Paleka” Nani Kaua’i Lazaro passed away at home on December 29, 2015 at the age of 67. Born on September 7, 1948, in Waimea, Kauai, he was a security guard with PMRF, maintenance supervisor with the State of Hawai’i and a well-known bus driver on Kauai.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Damiano Lazaro; brothers, Andrew Bla Lazaro and Damiano “Gundy” Lazaro; brother-in-law, Ski Wisneski; sister-in-laws, Althea Lazaro, Caroline Ho’opi’i, and Ethel Dela Cruz; grand-daughter, Cierra Slobig; and great-grandson, Dante Scott.
Paleka is survived by his wife, Sunny Brown-Lazaro; son, Patrick Lazaro Jr. of Kekaha; six daughters, DeeAnn (Tom) Slobig of Zilla, Washington, Akala (Bryan) Aiwohi of Wailua; Shentel Sarmiento of Waimea, Marla Medeiros of Hanamaulu, Tasha Lazaro of Kekaha, and Brenda Lazaro of Kekaha; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Sonny Ho’opi’i of Kekaha, Walter (Nancy) Dela Cruz of Mau’i, and Antone (Hilda) Lazaro of Ele’ele; sisters, Peggy Wisneski of Kekaha, Barbara (Chico) Frasco of Kekaha, and Mercy Lazaro of Kekaha; sister-in-law, Cecilia Lazaro of Kekaha; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Paleka’s Life will be held at Mac Arthur’s Park in Kekaha on Friday, January 8, 2016. Friends may visit with the family at 1 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. and scattering of his ashes will be followed fronting St. Theresa Church out at sea.
The family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

Jennifer Lei Victorino
Jennifer Lei Victorino, 60, of Omao, Kauai, passed away on December 24, 2015, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beatrice Victorino.
Born in Lihue, Kauai on January 22, 1955, Jenni attended and graduated from Kapaa High School and Kauai Community College. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Phoenix.
Jenni spent over 30 years caring for others in the field of nursing. Over her career, she worked for G.N. Wilcox Memorial Hospital, Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital, Hale Omao Nursing Home, Hale Kupuna Heritage Home and Kauai Care Center. As a testament of her dedication, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Nursing on December 1, 2015, from Kauai Care Center, Hale Omao Nursing Home and Hale Kupuna Heritage Home.
Outside of her work, Jenni enjoyed spending time with family, gathering shells from every beach she visited, gardening and fishing.
She is survived by her six sisters and one brother: Sharon Chang of Ewa Beach, Oahu; Yvonne (Victorino) Borges of Kapaa, Kauai; Carol (Victorino) Lovell of Anahola, Kauai; Eileen Victorino of Kapaa, Kauai; Evelyn (Victorino) Levinthol of Kapaa, Kauai; Irene (Victorino) Yoshida of Kapaa, Kauai; William Victorino, III of Kapaa, Kauai; her former spouse, Thomas James Texeira of Waimea, Kauai; her daughter Kalea Texeira of Washington, D.C.; her two sons, Koma Texeira of Hilo, Hawaii, and Kea Texeira of Waimea, Kauai; and five grandchildren Kaikoa, Koma, Victoria, Kanaloa and Keala; and beloved friend, Mei Ling Aranio.
The Celebration of Life Service for Jenni Victorino will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 9 a.m. at Anahola Beach Park.
