Happy New Year, Kauai!
Ada Koene said John Rivera has a new look for the new year on Wednesday during the Kauai Culinary Market (mahalo for that super ono organic corn, Sol Kahn!) Helaine Perel was in her new office upstairs, and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack was on vacation somewhere in Canada.
Tita Laamea said Poipu Sol opened on Christmas Eve, and are still waiting on its sign. But Poipu Sol is open seven days a week at The Shops at Kukuiula right across Living Foods (Jeff Saccini already put his papaya in the ground). As Billy Grace said, “If your foot is bare, you know where.”
Tierra Gabriel said the Reyn Spooner Year of the Monkey shirts have been selling well and they need to order more sizes to take care of everybody before the Chinese New Year (it starts on Feb. 8). There’s still a couple of weeks to get yours before the limited edition print ends.
Johnny Gordines has been wiping out early during the Christmas and New Year’s rush … even with the extra stock, he’s run out within the first hour, and The Rancher’s Daughter, Sharlene Andrade-Balmores, is Googling her New Year’s resolution.
