Kudos to Chris Kauwe and the four-man canoe paddlers for getting Santa to the beach safely (Mary Mills said Santa stopped off at the Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club before getting to Kalapaki). Ali “Hi” Ho couldn’t make it because she was on the Mainland, and Santa wanted to send a shout-out to A.J. Gregorius, son of Dr. David Gregorius, the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital emergency room physician. A.J. was supposed to be in that throng of people (Val Saiki was waiting on the wrong end of the beach) who greeted Santa when he arrived via a double-hulled canoe.
Conner Adams was celebrating the first year he could participate in the Christmas madness, and who noticed Alakai Grubbe was passing the goodies to Santa?
So when you see Jeff and Cindy Haigh working on the New Year’s design, ask them about the POG.
