Tyson Alika Lawai’a Aipa-Rivera
Tyson Alika Lawai’a Aipa-Rivera of Kapaa passed away on October 30, 2015, at the age of 15. He was born in Lihue on December 1, 1999, and was a student at Kapaa High School.
Tyson is survived by his grandmother, Ann Servantes, “Papa” Dwight Suzuki, Grandfather Season Servantes, grandfather, Frank (Joy Lynn) Rivera; father, Robin Servantes; mother, Renee Rivera; great-grandparents, Henry Lasconia, Robert and Henrietta Gonsalves; brother, Thompson Aipa-Rivera, Tyrell Aipa-Rivera, Trecen Rivera; numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Kealia Beach beginning at 11 a.m. till pau.

Yukio Shigeta
Yukio Shigeta of Lihue passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2015 at the age of 87. Born on March 1, 1928 in Moloa’a, he worked for the Department of Water, M. Tanaka Store Inc., and retired from the County of Kauai as a plumber.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Shigeta; sons, Daryl (Martha) Shigeta of Maui, Layne (Linda) Shigeta of Puhi, Tyler (Rosie) Shigeta os Texas, and Donn (Pua Chin) Shigeta of Lihue; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Matsuko Doi of Honolulu, Kikuno Wakumoto of Kapa’a; sister-in-law, Esther Shigeta of Kapa’a; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Yukio’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Lihue Christian Church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m.
The family requests causal attire and are graciously declining flowers.

Gliceria D. Dumbrique
Gliceria D. Dumbrique passed away on November 5,2015 with her family beside her at Garden Island Healthcare. She was born on May 10, 1914, in Laoag City, Philippines and was 101 years old. She was a housewife.
Gliceria is preceded in death by her parents, Ciriaco and Arcadia Domingo, husband of 67 years, Vicente Dumbrique and son, Ernesto Dumbrique.
She is survived by son Aurelio (Josie) Dumbrique of Lihue; daughters, Naty (John) Lorenzo of Koloa, Tessie (Steve) Hyde of Lihue, Liza (Ernie) Gabriel of California, and Dolly (Boyd) Schneider of Mililani; eight grandchildren, Gilburn (Tish) Lorenzo, Rachelle (Craig) Lorenzo, Aimee (Paka) Lorenzo, Vincent (Candice) Dumbrique, Denevin Dumbrique, Warren Gabriel, Christian Schneider and Justin Schneider; great-grandchildren, Maguire Lorenzo, Kolten Fujimoto, Rylie Fujimoto, and Xander Dumbrique; step great-grandchildren Cyrus and Chloe Fujimoto.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lihue. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. with Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be followed at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Actor Nathaniel Marston Born: July 9, 1975 Died: November 11, 2015
A Film, Screen and Television actor best known for his work on television daytime dramas As the World Turns and One Life to Live, died November 11, 2015 in Reno, NV from injuries sustained in a car crash in rural Nevada on October 30, the result of driver fatigue.
Nathaniel spent his childhood here on Kauai and is survived by his father Ali Martin Birtodaso, Mother Elizabeth Jackson, Brother Ikaika Birtodaso, and half-sister Lani Gruelle as well as many auntie’s uncles and cousins living here on Kauai. Nathaniel is also survived by his Uncle John Jackson and Cousin Johnny Jackson both who reside in NYC.
A memorial service will be held here on Kauai for Nathaniel Marston at the Salt Pond Beach in Hanapepe on Saturday, December 5 at 11 a.m.; Service at noon.
Noon service followed by a paddle out to set him free in the ocean that he loved so much to watch over all the keiki for eternity, meal and music to follow with celebration to honor Nathaniel’s life and contributions of love, generosity and kindness to all who knew him. Nathaniel never felt he met a stranger and his smile never failed to lite up any room. He was loved by family, friends and fans and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. All are welcome to come and celebrate his life and many accomplishments with us. Aloha Nui Loa.
Jace Ruiz
Jace Nainoa Megumi Taira Ruiz of Omao, was born on November 22, 1991 in Lihue, Kauai and passed away at the age of 24 on November 24, 2015 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He worked at Tapa’s Bar and Grill and was an avid shoreline fisherman who enjoyed hunting and diving.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Nagato; and survived by girlfriend, Shayna Borja; his three daughters, Jayanie, Jaysha, and Jaebri; parents, Scott Ruiz and Jonelle (Colin) Taira Kakutani; sister, Kaylee Ruiz; paternal grandparents, Donald and Edith Ruiz; maternal grandparent, Megumi Nagato; and nieces, Ciana Ruiz and Railee Baniaga.
A Celebration of Jace’s Life will be held at the Koloa Missionary Church on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 10 a.m.

June Naomi Nakagawa, 67, of Kalaheo, Kauai passed away on November 7, 2015 in Straub Clinic and Hospital, Honolulu. Born in Waimea, Kauai, she was the owner of Kauai Rainbow Paint and Fishing. She is survived by her son, Kyle; sisters, Georgia Kakuda and Rae (Ryan) Nishikawa. Private services.
