KILAUEA — Another round of the Better Choices, Better Health workshop offered by the Agency on Elderly Affairs is set to begin on Dec. 8. The last class will be held on Jan. 12.
The six-week workshop will be held on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center.
Taught by specially trained leaders, some with chronic health conditions themselves, the program covers a new topic each week including finding betters ways of dealing with pain and fatigue; easy exercises to help improve or maintain strength and energy; appropriate use of medications and improved nutrition.
Participants will receive a book titled “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions” and a relaxation CD.
