Tabby-Lee Kuuipolani Kenoi of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on October 21, 2015, at Straub Hospital in Honolulu at the age of 36. She was born on May 2, 1979, in Hilo, Hawaii, raised by her parents in Hilo and later moved to Kauai.
Tabby was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Timseen Kenoi; paternal grandparents, Annie and Napoleon Kenoi; and maternal grandparents, Donato and Delphina Atiz
She is survived by her mother Cynthia Atiz-Desamparado and stepfather Edgardo Desamparado, both of Kapaa; brothers Timothy (Jeffrey Callejo Jr.) R N Kenoi of Kapaa, Terrance Kanoelehua Kenoi of Lihue; sister Engelica May Atiz Desamparado of Kapaa; stepbrother Edrick Desamparado of Kapaa; nephew William “Ama” Kamala of Anahola; and life partner Deaven Salboro of Kapaa.
A celebration of life will be held on Kauai Saturda,y November 28, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Niumalu Canoe Club facility down at Kalapaki (behind JJ’s Broiler fronting the sea wall). Casual attire is requested by the family.

Elizabeth Kao “Nohi” Johnson Ako
Elizabeth Kao “Nohi” Johnson Ako, of Wailua Houselots, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on November 4, 2015, at the age of 86. She was born on May 15, 1929, in Honolulu, Oahu. Elizabeth worked for the State of Hawaii Library System in both Kapaa and Lihue branches.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Juliette Lahela Huddy-Johnson; sisters, Blanche Kamala Ako, Juliette Leimomi Kalei’ohi, Alethea Queenie Klask, Clarissa Johnson and Lillian Pua Kaimi; and her brothers, William Luahine Ferreira Huddy and Fred Johnson, Jr.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Valentine “Uncle Val” Ako; daughters, Blanche “Kepola” (Stan) McCabe, Valerie “Nani” (Ernie) Garcia, Julie-Beth “Mamo” Ako and Dana Kaleo Kamai (Hanai daughter); her sons, Ivan K. Ako and Willie K. Pulawa, Jr. as well as seven grandchildren and 12 great-randchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Koolau Huiia Protestant Church. Visitation will take place at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and leis will be welcomed.

Leslie Kauilani Kaneholani of Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii, was laid to rest on November 1, 2015, at the age of 48 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1967, in Pahala, Hawaii. She was a Housekeeper/Maintenance for Hale Kupuna Heritage Home.
She was preceeded in death by her father, Larry K. Kaupu Sr.; sisters, Vivian Brown, Mary Kaupu, Karen Kaupu and Joann Kaupu; sons Jeremiah Kaupu-Kaneholani and Joseph Kaneholani Jr.
She is survived by husband, Joseph Kaneholani; daughters, Jourdan (Josh) Kaupu-Kaneholani, Abcde (Kj) Kaupu-Kaneholani; sons, Kekai Kaupu-Kaneholani, Aukai Kaupu-Kaneholani; grandchildren, Joseph-Charles K. Kaneholani-Soto, Jo’zaevaleh-Malia N. Kaneholani-Soto of Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii; mother, Mary-Mae K. Kaupu of Kealakekua; brothers, Larry (Dutchee) Kaupu Jr. of Mark Twain Estates, Mckinley (Michelle) Kaupu, Rudolph (Corine) Kaupu, both of Oceanview Estates; sisters, Stephanie (Kevin) Kaupu-Ceasar of Oceanview Estates, Cheryllynn Kaneholani of South Glenwood, Eleanor (Gerald) Kaupu-Fontes of Kealakehe; Brianne (Malia) Kaupu-Galon of Kailua Kona; Hanai Children, Kaia Powell-Santos, Maleah Powell-Santos, Breanne Brun, Kahuaina Makua, Kaulana Makua, Kiana Mahuka, Jersey Napohaku and Kailana Lopez; and God-daughters, Kyrie Kaneholani-Efhan of Colorado, Marlie Keliikuli of Lawai. She was also survived by numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Anahola Beach Park. There will be a little service by Pastor Carl Faford around 12:30 p.m., Pa’ina after. Another service will be held on the Big Island on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ka’u ward. Services will be from 9-10 a.m., lunch to follow.
Cremation was done by Borthwick Mortuary.
Dominador ‘Dado’ S. Tomacder
Dominador “Dado” S. Tomacder of Wailua Houselots, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on November 6, 2015, at the age of 88.
He was born on July 14, 1927, in Hanamaulu, Kauai, was a Veteran of the National Guard and spent his career as an auto mechanic for Garden Island Motors. He was also a Crossing Guard for Kapaa Elementary School.
“Dado” was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Victoria Tomacder; wife, Augustina “Tina” Tomacder; sisters, Fausta Tomacder, Remedios “Remy” Aquino and Tinang “Maria” Amorin; brother, Ricarte “Ricky” Tomacder; and son-in-law David Torres, Sr.
He will be missed by his sons, Stan (Elizabeth) Tomacder, of Waimea, Sandy (Gloria F.) Tomacder, of Wailua Houselots; daughter, Sally Ann Torres, of Kapaa; sisters, Trinidad Fernandez, of Hanamaulu, Priscilla (Oseng) Miguel, Honolulu; three grandchildren, David Torres, Jr. of Kapaa, Shannon (Victor) Aquino of Texas and Tianee Tomacder of Wailua; three hanai grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
Friends may meet with family on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lihue.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens, Kapaia.

Grace Padilla passed away at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on November 14, 2015, at the age of 50. Born on April 8, 1965, in Waimea, Kauai, she was an assistant office manager with Garden Island Mortuary.
She is survived by her partner Jesse Trevino of Mission Texas; brothers, Eustaquio (Noreen) Padilla Jr. of Kaimuki, Honolulu and Joseph (Vivian) Padilla of Mililani, Honolulu; hanai brothers, Gil Aguilar of Honolulu, O’ahu, Michael (Julie) Broyles of Hanapepe and Tim (Jan) DeLa Vega of Hanapepe; sisters, Aida Padilla-Cruz of Lihue, Gloria (Raymond) Padilla-Ramirez of Ewa Beach, Honolulu and Becky Padilla-Komaki of Hanapepe; hanai sisters, Lilian (Lee) Henricksen of Kekaha, Yvette (Roland) Cadawas of Hanamaulu and Debra Ventura of Omao; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eustaquio B. Padilla Sr. and Pauline F. Padilla; and brother-in-law, Frank Cruz Sr.
A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the West Kauai United Methodist Church in Kekaha. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services at 10 a.m.

Albert Mitsuo “Tinkiri” and Darlene Leilani Oshiro have both passed away. Albert passed away recently on September 11, 2015, at the age of 80 and Darlene passed away on December 22, 2011, at the age of 56.
Albert Mitsuo Oshiro is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene Leilani Oshiro of Pahoa, and daughter Jamie Oshiro of Oahu. He is survived by daughters Robin Kotani and Michelle (Rick) Chang both from Oahu; step-daughter Desiree (Roland) Arhelger from Pahoa; son Myles Oshiro from Oahu; step-son James “Keala” (Corina) Gorospe from Pahoa; hanai sons Shaston (Kiani) Oshiro from Kauai and Shaidon (Ashlen) Oshiro from Pahoa; 10 grandchildren; sisters Ayako Hunt and Gladys Akasaki; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Darlene Leilani Oshiro is survived by son James “Keala” (Corina) Gorospe from Pahoa; hanai sons Shaston (Kiani) Gorospe-Oshiro of Lihue and Shaidon (Ashlen) Oshiro of Pahoa; daughter Desiree (Roland) Arhelger from Pahoa; step-daughters Robin Kotani and Michelle (Rick) Chang and step-son Myles Oshiro all from Oahu; mother Marlyn “Molly” Kuhaulua, sister Marlyn “Hoku” Souza; brothers Kalani (Judy) Kelekoma, Franklin Kelekoma Jr., Jeffrey Kelekoma, Clay (Leonora) Kelekoma, Ainsley (Linda) Kelekoma and David (Chris) Kelekoma ; and her sister-in-law Tomie Kelekoma all from Kauai; 10 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, 11 a.m. at Hanamaulu Bay. Scattering of their ashes will follow along with a potluck gathering that will be held at the Hanamaulu Beach main pavilion. Casual attire requested.
Yukio Shigeta
Yukio Shigeta of Lihue passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2015, at the age of 87. Born on March 1, 1928, in Moloaa, he worked for the Department of Water, M. Tanaka Store Inc., and retired from the County of Kauai as a plumber.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Shigeta; sons, Daryl (Martha) Shigeta of Maui, Layne (Linda) Shigeta of Puhi, Tyler (Rosie) Shigeta of Texas, and Donn (Pua Chin) Shigeta of Lihue; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Matsuko Doi of Honolulu, Kikuno Wakumoto of Kapaa; sister-in-law, Esther Shigeta of Kapaa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Yukio’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Lihue Christian Church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m.

Wesley Hisashi Furumoto
Wesley Hisashi Furumoto passed away on October 1, 2015, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Ohio. Born on December 29, 1950, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, he was a chef at the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati.
He is survived by his son, Eric (Megan) Furumoto; grandson, Issac and granddaughter, Analeigh; brother, Clyde Furumoto and sister, Karen (Dennis) Hiranaka; nieces, nephews and a large extended family dispersed throughout the state and country.
Numerous friends, family and co-workers attended a memorial service held in Kentucky where Wesley resided for the past 35 years.
