Frederick Norman Quinn
Frederick Norman Quinn of Kilauea passed away at home on Oct. 20, 2015, at the age of 78. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Nov. 10, 1936. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from the County of Kauai as the Automotive Shop Superintendant.
Frederick is survived by his wife, Dorothy Quinn of Kilauea; three children, Edward (Betsy) Quinn of Oregon, Tammy Quinn of Kilauea and Thomas (Maya) Quinn of Washington; three grandsons; one sister, Margaret “Jackie” Dezelich of Connecticut; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea with viewing from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Quinn family with arrangements.
Evelyn Agcaoili Pascua
Evelyn Agcaoili of Puhi, Kauai passed away on Oct. 5, 2015, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 53. Evelyn was born on Nov. 30, 1961, on Kauai. She was raised in Camp 7, Eleele and graduated for Waimea High School, class of 1979. Evelyn was a devoted homemaker.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Manuel B. Agcaoili.
She is survived by her husband, Ludi Pascua of Puhi; two sons, Michael Agcaoili and Jordan Pascua, of Puhi; two daughters, Cherish Pascua of Washington State and Krystal Pascua of Puhi; mother, Erlinda Agcaoili of Puhi; brother, Rey (Amy) Agcaoili; nephews, Reyson, Reygan and Rey C. Agcaoili of Lihue; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Nov. 30, 2015, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel, in Koloa and again on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Koloa from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Borthwick Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Laureen S. Sakai-Higley
Laureen “Laurie” S. Sakai-Higley of Lihue, Kauai passed away on Oct. 6, 2015, at the age of 58.
She was born on July 26, 1957, in Lihue, Kauai. Laurie was a supervisor for Department of Human Services with the State of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy M. Sakai.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Michael Higley; daughters, Alohalani (Kiele) Higley, Farren Higley; son, Quintin (Elisha) Sakai-Higley; mother, Patsy Sakai; sisters, Kristine (Ceaser) Jardin, Carlene (Galen) Oshiro; three grandchildren, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Laurie’s life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel, Koloa
You may visit with the family at 10 a.m. Service will follow at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire.

Basilio Agno Raza
Basilio Agno Raza of Kilauea passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on Oct. 15, 2015, at the age of 87. He was born in the Philippines on Dec. 4, 1927, and retired as a landscaper with The Cliffs at Princeville.
Basilio is survived by his wife, Virgie D. Raza of Kauai; 12 children, Cecilio (Ester) Raza Sr. of London, Venancio (Sosima) Raza of Kauai, Merida (Edmund) Alfonso of Kauai, Criselda (Romeo) Ramento of Kauai, Rosalinda Raza of Kauai, Rosemarie (Ralph Jeff) Lutz of Kauai, Aida (Sixto) Agoto of Kilauea, Basil (Ruth) Raza of Hilo, Marilyn (Victor) Jarquio of Kauai, Murielyn Raza of Kauai, Sara Angelina Raza of Kauai and Angelica Rose Raza of Kauai; 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Herminio (Brigida) Raza of Kauaia; sister, Florenza Herrera of the Philippines; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Kapaia.
