“Dhyana Quartet” will make its debut performance Oct. 29 at Trees Lounge.
The foursome plays a blend of Blues, R&B, funk, pop, jazz, dance and Bossa, “with a twist.”
Founders Dhyana Dunville (vocals) and Edd Cook (bass) set out to bring new life to a wide range of familiar music. They are joined by Bill Mello (guitar) and Dennis Pierson (drums).
Cook and Pierson were members of the band that opened Trees Lounge eight years ago.
Dhyana Dunville made her first appearance singing in front of an audience at open mic night at Trees in 2010.
Don’t be surprised to hear your favorite oldies revived in a fresh and current arrangement, or a contemporary tune presented with a vintage/retro feel, Dunville said.
“With smooth, creative guitar work, groove-driven rhythms and distinctive vocal stylings, expect a highly entertaining and memorable musical experience,” she said.
Dhyana Quartet will play at Trees Lounge starting at 8:30 p.m.
