Inmate fails to check in

Law authorities are looking for a Kauai Community Correctional Center extended furlough inmate who failed to report for his scheduled check-in at a transitional home in Kapaa Tuesday.

Aaron Fowler, 48, is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 180 pounds with green eyes and short, brown hair.

He is serving time for burglary 2 and credit card theft. Escape 2 is expected to be added to his charges.

Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of the facility but must check in at various times throughout the month.

Fowler’s next parole hearing was scheduled for March.

Anyone who sees Fowler is urged to call 911.
