Beatrice Coyaso Camacho

Beatrice Coyaso Camacho of Lihue passed away at Killeen, Texas on Oct. 2, 2015, at the age of 82. Born on Dec. 20, 1932, in Numila, she was a laborer with the Hawaii Labors Union.

She is survived by her husband, Arturo Camacho; son, Arturo “Artie” (Alexis “Lani”) Camacho of Lihue, Kauai; daughters, Mary (Lloyd) Shimono of Wailua and Susan Powers of Killeen Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Marcelino “Kucho” (Isabel) Coyaso of Kalaheo; sisters, Laura “Lita” Vales of Oahu and Dora (Henry) Vales of California; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest “Neto” Coyaso and Phillip “Beto” Coyaso.

A celebration of Beatrice’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m.

The family suggests casual attire and is respectfully declining flowers.
