Rufo Ibea Radona
Rufo “Papa” Ibea Radona of Lihue, formerly of Kekaha, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on Sept. 19, 2015, at the age of 99. Papa was born on November 6, 1915 in Barangay Santa Cruz, Sinait Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
He was an irrigator for Kekaha Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded by his parents, Marcelo and Augustina Radona; companion, Bessie Largo; daughters, Quintina Radona, Dolly Babayan, Judy Hanohano and Geraldine Kawamura; sons, Benjamin Radona and Rudy Largo.
Papa is survived by his son, Jose (Agripina) Radona; daughters, Magdalena (Rolando) Sidiaren; step sons, Joe (Ivy) Jamero, James (Rose) Largo, Chris (Rose) Largo, Leslie (Corrine) Largo, Gary (Lee) Largo; step daughter, Amparo Abalos; brother, Alfonso (Generosa) Radona, as well as 29 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren and 67 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa.
Visitation at 9 a.m. Service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. The family suggests casual attire.

Laureen Sakai-Higley
Laureen “Laurie” S. Sakai-Higley of Lihue, Kauai passed away on Oct. 6, 2015, at the age of 58.
She was born on July 26, 1957, in Lihue, Kauai. Laurie was a supervisor for Department of Human Services with the State of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy M. Sakai.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Michael Higley; daughters, Alohalani (Kiele) Higley, Farren Higley; son, Quintin (Elisha) Sakai-Higley; mother, Patsy Sakai; sisters, Kristine (Ceaser) Jardin, Carlene (Galen) Oshiro; three grandchildren and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Lauire’s life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel, Koloa.
You may visit with the family at 10 a.m. Service will follow at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire.

Alfred Paul Lopez, Sr.
Alfred Paul Lopez, Sr. passed away on Oct. 9, 2015, at his home in Lihue at the age of 71. He was born on Jan. 26, 1944, in Koloa, raised by his parents in Kalaheo, and later moved to Keapana Valley, which he considered his stomping grounds. He retired from the State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources, Forestry and Wildlife Division where he was a supervisor.
Alfred was preceded in death by his fathers, Frank Lopez and John Medina; mother, Mary Pavao; brothers, Ernest Silva, Patrick Lopez, Vincent Lopez Sr., Phillip Lopez and sister, Henrietta Boynton.
He is survived by his sons, Alfred Lopez Jr. of Wailua Homesteads, Shannon Lopez of Wailua Homesteads; daughter, Melody Lopez of Lihue; sister, Elizabeth (Wayne) Allianic of Lawai, grandchildren including Wailea Lopez, Ashley Lopez, Shanlynn Lopez-Souza, Tiffany Lopez, Selena Lopez, Hiileimaikalani Perry; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Alfred’s life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at 5868 Haua’ala Rd., Keapana Valley from 10 to 11 a.m. with Fellowship to follow. For information, contact Melody Lopez at 808-271-5235.

Gary Allen Belmes Allianic
Gary Allen Belmes Allianic of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Hospital on Sept. 26, 2015, at the age of 38. Born in California on Dec. 22, 1976, he was a laborer with Garden Isle Disposal.
He is survived by his wife, Lauren Allianic of Lihue; son, Ky-mani Alliance of Lihue; daughters, Mapuana Duhaylongsod of Koloa and Mysha Alliance of Lihue; father, Gary Allianic of Lihue; mother, Teresa Belmes of Koloa; grandpa, Benjamin Allianic Sr. of Lawai; grandma Nisbe Belmes of Vietnam; sisters, Cheray Kahalewai of Honolulu and Kehau Kahalewai of Koloa; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Juan Belmes.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. and Mass to follow.

Champ Seichi Ono
Champ Seichi Ono of Lihue passed away at home on Oct. 7, 2015, at the age of 93. He was born in Puunene, Maui on March 5, 1922. A Veteran of the United States Army he retired from the State of Hawaii as an educator.
Champ is survived by his wife Tsuneko “Sue” Ono; son, Mark (Darcy) Ono of Kapaa; daughters, Marianne (Robert) Susinetti of Maui, Annabel (Kurtis) Saiki of Maui, Kathleen (David) Ventimiglia of California; 10 grandchildren, Kristine (Juan) Cornejo, Kaleo Saiki, Katie Ann (Jr.) Bumanglag, Kyle Saiki, Kellie Ventimilia, Stephen Ventimilia, Lee (Weezy) Iboshi, Ronn (Les) Iboshi, Hunter Bilbo, Lana Bilbo; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Yamashita, Evelyn Fukuhara, Masayo Matsui; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Lihue Christian Church with visitation from 1 p.m. and services beginning at 2 p.m. Refreshments to follow.

Louisa Tanigawa
Louisa Haruno (Apduhan) Tanigawa was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Waimea. She passed away peacefully on Oct. 6, 2015, at the age of 86 at Wilcox Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenji Tanigawa. She was a housewife and also worked at the Sheraton Waiohai Hotel.
Louisa is survived by her sons, Clarence (June) Tanigawa of Wailua, Kauai, Jesse (Talu) Tanigawa of Hanapepe, Kauai; daughter, Rosalind (Carl) Figueroa of Columbia, Maryland; four grandchildren, Erik (Whitney) Tanigawa, Joanna (Devin) Daligdig, Cijay (Amanda) Tanigawa, Louisa Tanigawa, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Evan Daligdig, Marie Daligdig, and Ian Tanigawa.
Services for Louisa Tanigawa will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the Kekaha Assembly of God. You may visit with the family at 9 to 10:30 a.m. with services to follow.
Beatrice Coyaso Camacho
Beatrice Coyaso Camacho of Lihue passed away at Killeen Texas on Oct. 2, 2015, at the age of 82. Born on Dec. 20, 1932, in Numila, she was a laborer with the Hawaii Labors Union.
She is survived by her husband, Arturo Camacho; son, Arturo “Artie” (Alexis “Lani”) Camacho of Lihue, Kauai; daughters, Mary (Lloyd) Shimono of Wailua and Susan Powers of Killeen Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Marcelino “Kucho” (Isabel) Coyaso of Kalaheo; sisters, Laura “Lita” Vales of Oahu and Dora (Henry) Vales of California; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest “Neto” Coyaso and Phillip “Beto” Coyaso.
A celebration of Beatrice’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m.

Mamoru ‘Mamo’ Yamada
Mamoru “Mamo” Yamada of Lihue passed away at home on Oct. 14, 2015, at the age of 94. Born on May 31, 1921, in Lihue, he was a scale master with Kauai Bulk Sugar Storage.
Mamo is survived by his wife, Amy Yamada of Lihue; sons, Craig (Tanya) Yamada of Honolulu, Lance Yamada of Lihue, and Royden (Vina) Yamada of Mililani; daughters, Donna (Larry) Bankus of Bremerton, Washington and Rowena Yamada of Haiku, Maui; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Masaichi and Takino Yamada.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Oct, 23, 2015, at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission. A celebration of Mamo’s life will begin at 4 p.m. with services to begin at 5 p.m.
