Matias Arizo
Matias Arizo of Puhi, passed away on Aug. 14, 2015, at home at the age of 96. He was born on Dec. 31, 1918, in Laoag, Philippines. Matias was a carpenter for Grove Farm.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalina “Rose” Arizo of Puhi; sons, Darryl (Patricia) Arizo of Oahu, Richard Arizo of Puhi and Norman Arizo of Hanapepe; his daughters, Sharon (Larry) Duque of Lihue, Lois (Robert) Silverman of Wailua, Carla (Tony Hulette) Arizo of Los Angeles; son Eugenio Arizo, Big Island; daughters, Erlinda (Ronald) Mauricio of the Big Island, Leticia Abalos of the Big Island; sister, Felicidad Pastor of the Philippines; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private services were held.

Christopher ‘Bradda’ Cremer
Christopher-Isaac Keli’i Shigeo Cremer “Bradda” of Lihue passed away on Aug. 18, 2015, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 19.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Daphne K. Cremer.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Chelsea Arakaki; father, Richard Cremer; sisters, Alyssa Cremer-Arakaki, Aiesha Cremer-Arakaki; brothers, Richard Kanoa Cremer, Kanen Kainalu Cremer; girlfriend, Aillean Defontorum; grandmother, Christine (Tina) Saito (Dan Saito); grandfathers, Jerome Arakaki, Reinhold Cremer Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins.
Christopher’s celebration of life and the scattering of his ashes will be held on Sept. 13, 2015, at Kalapaki Beach Park at 12:30 p.m.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Oda family with arrangements.
Kikuyo Ota
Kikuyo Shimomura Ota of Lihue passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on Aug, 28, 2015, at the age of 95. She was born in Wailua, Kauai on Sept. 17, 1919, and retired from Tip Top Cafe as a waitress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Ota, grandson, Darrin Iida and great-grandson, Michael Iida.
She is survived by two sons, Sanford H. Ota of Las Vegas, Arnold (Karen) Ota of Pearl City; two daughters, Janette M. (Bert) Matsuoka of Koloa, Diana S. (Danny) Navarro of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at Lihue Hongwanji with visitation at 3 p.m. and service beginning at 4 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Ota family with arrangements.
Gerald Alaibilla
Gerald Wilder Alaibilla of Kapaa passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the age of 67. He was born in Honolulu, on July 26, 1948. Gerald was a store Manager for the Kapaa Big Save Supermarket.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Alaibilla; sons, Gerald Sky (Edna) Alaibilla of Waimea, Kele (Surrey) Alaibilla of Kapaa and Jose Jason Alaibilla of Seattle, Washington; daughter, Pecious (Larry) Garma of Makakilo; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at the Kauai Veterans Center with visitation at 9 a.m., services at 10 a.m.

Arlene Kawakami
Arlene Kashima Kawakami passed away at Wilcox Hospital on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at the age of 71. She was born on Jan. 6, 1944, in Huleia, Kauai, and was an educator with the Department of Education.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mutsumi and Dora Kashima and her brother, Edwin Kashima.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Charles Kawakami; sons, Craig (Renee) Douglas and Derek (Monica) Kawakami; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Marian Horita and brother, Stanford Kashima.
Services will be held on Sept. 12, 2015, at the Lihue Christian Church. Visitation at 9 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. and lunch to follow.

Arata Oda
Arata Oda of Hanamaulu passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on Aug. 13, 2015, at the age of 92. He was born in Kapaia, Kauai on Nov. 17, 1922, and retired from the Lihue sugar Plantation as a Supervisor.
Arata is preceded in death by his wife Chieko Oda.
He is survived by two sons; one daughter; six grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; one sister; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were privately held.
