Kudos to the Lihue United Church and Associate Pastor Leni Namoa (Leslie Namoa was helping serve) on a great Labor Day Breakfast. Gini Stoddard was able to get away from her air conditioning to enjoy the meal and entertainment with her friends, and it’s definitely not a breakfast unless the Sons of Kauai come to eat.
Pastor Leni was greeting guests next to “the tax collector” Nancy Bunyon who has been collecting meal tickets for a long time, and we must have been late because where was Bradford Kaeo?
Val Kaneshiro was amazed on how much food was left over even with all of the take-out meals she had, and John Lydgate made sure he got coffee in a non-Styrofoam cup (he even brings his own fork to meals). John said they need help during the Saturday cleanup days to help clear the Morgan’s Ponds of debris which washed down the Wailua River and got pushed into the ponds with the big swell.
