‘The Hunting Ground’ to air Wednesday at KCC PAC

LIHUE — The public is invited to attend a free showing of “The Hunting Ground,” a documentary that addresses the need for reform in society’s response to campus sexual violence.

The film will air at Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. A panel discussion will follow.

The event is sponsored by the YWCA of Kauai and the Kauai County Committee on the Status of Women (KCSW).

The KCSW is part of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women, which strives to advance the status of women and girls by acting as a catalyst for positive change through advocacy, education, collaboration and program development.

The KCSW meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Its next scheduled meeting is Sept. 16, 5 p.m., Lihue Civic Center, Moikeha Building, Meeting Room 2A and 2B.

All KCSW meetings are open to the public.
