Bonnie Rose Baki
Bonnie Rose Baki of Wailua, Kauai, passed away on April 17, 2015, at the age of 71. Born on Sept. 5, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, she was a licensed speech pathologist and elementary school teacher in the California Napa Valley School District for 30 years. She retired in 2000 and moved to Kauai, where she was a valued employee in the garden department at Home Depot. She loved all animals and rescued many dogs.
Bonnie Rose is survived by her six first cousins, Steven Gatzka of Sun City, CA, David Gatzka of Sun Valley, CA, Gloria Olney of Mayfield, KY, James Farkas of Northville, MI, Michael Farkas of Richardson, TX, and Frederick Farkas of Owasso, MI, and many close friends, neighbors and work associates.
Services will be held at a future date.

James T. Kimoto
James T. Kimoto passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii, on March 21, 2015, at the age of 87. He was born on Feb. 2, 1928, on Kauai. James was a retired teacher at Waimea High School.
James is survived by his son, Gregory Kimoto, and daughter, Shari Kimoto-Kaauwai, three grandchildren, Travis Kimoto, Zion Kaauwai and Ridge Kaauwai, as well as two great-grandchildren, Gavin Kimoto and Deklan Kimoto.
A “Celebration of James’ Life” is being held on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Waimea United Church of Christ. Service to be held at 10 a.m. The family suggests casual attire.
Elizabeth Ann Victorino
Elizabeth Ann Victorino of Kapahi, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away at home on June 2, 2015, at the age of 73. She was born in Portland, Oregon, on Nov. 28, 1941, and retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Health as a social worker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Damien Victorino Sr.
Elizabeth is survived by sons, Damien Victorino Jr. and Bill Victorino; daughter Angela Victorino all of Kapahi; grandchildren, Billy, Zane, Kynan, Dalton, Harlo, Tiana and Mikey; sister Catherine Marie Caycayon of Kapaia; brother William John (Barbara) Leighton of Oregon; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015, at St. Catherine Church in Kapahi with visitation from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Victorino family with arrangements.
Ralph Burns
Ralph Candido Burns of Kapaa passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 20, 2015, at the age of 54. He was born in Monterey, California, on Aug. 4, 1960. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed by Kauai Beach Resort as a maintenance worker.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Saldavia.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Maria Burns of Kapaa; two daughters, Racquel Burns, Rachel Burns; two sons, Randolph Burns and Brandon Robles; one grandson; sister, Betty Crowden; brother, Duke Ezzo; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 8:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe at 1 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Burns family with arrangements.
Elaine-Tutu Watson
On Monday May 11, 2015, Aunty Elaine-Tutu Watson departed from mortality to rejoin her husband D. Rollins Watson on their journey through eternity.
Elaine is preceded in death by their daughter Evone L. Watson, parents Solomon and Margaret Kupihea Sr .; brothers Solomon (Miriam) Kupihea Jr., Henry Kupihea Sr., Roy Kupihea, George Kupihea Sr., Henry “Peaches” Kupihea; sisters Martha (Bill) Witter, Rachel (Oliver) Bright, Margaret Malu Fernandez, Grace (Floyd) Fitzgerald, Dorothy (Christian) Goo, Rachel “Pogi” (Minato) Akiyama, Yvonne (Frances) Shimabukuro and Kelani Torres.
She is survived by her daughter Eileen I. (Charlie) Bright, grandchildren Nancy L. K. Bright, her grandson Justin K. (Jenna) Bright, granddaughter Chenoa K. Watson and great-granddaughter Ryder Mahina Honjo; brother Wallace (Linda) Kupihea and George (Eileen) Kupihea; sisters, Mary (Edwin) Maunakea, Deborah (Jack) Muff, Yolanda Lana (Patrick) Rosa; brother-in-law Bruce Torres, and sister-in-laws Loretta Kupihea, Beverly Rodrigues and Florence Kupihea, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family held services on May 23, 2015.
Robert Fyfe
Robert Alan Kaiopua Fyfe of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on May 4, 2015, at home at the age of 72. Born on Nov. 20, 1942, in Alameda, California, he was a senior construction estimator.
He was predeceased by his son, Shaun Alan Fyfe, and parents, Robert Benzi Fyfe and Annabelle Kaluna Alanui Muller Fyfe.
He is survived by his partner, Sabra Kauka of Lihue; sons, George (Tonya) Keith Fyfe and Erin Joseph Fyfe, grandchildren, Nichole Nadine Kekaula Fyfe, Robert Shaun Fyfe, Karsianna Shaleen Fyfe, and Kinzington Haven Fyfe, great-grandson, Liam Kona Kaiopua Fyfe, sisters, Sylvia Kuulei Momi Thacker and Carole Ann Kaui Henderson, and daughter-in-law Denise Taranto, all of California.
A celebration of Kaiopua’s life will be held June 11, 2015, at Frear Center for Hawaiian Culture and the Arts Island School, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii. You are welcome to visit with the family at 9:30 a.m. followed by service at 10:30 a.m. and paina at noon. Aloha attire is requested and leis are welcome.
