Leona Perez told the Leo Club of Kauai High School that the work they do when they volunteer makes a big difference. Sariah Ijima, Juvann Bautista, Mikayla Domingo and Bronwyn Kay were wrapping up their service Wednesday at the Kauai Independent Food Bank in Nawiliwili.
Over at The Kauai Culinary Market in The Shops at Kukuiula, May Day came early as Melissa McFerrin-Warrack said Elvrine Chow and Jennifer Ortal were doing a May Day activity to get people ready for the real May Day, which is today.
Kudos to Koloa Elementary School student coordinator Lisa Finch for lining up the entertainment in gratitude for The Shops at Kukuiula presenting the school with a $1,900 check from proceeds from the specially decorated gift bags offered by the Koloa School students for the holidays.
Mara Petruzziello of Canada had her Global Village crew shopping (who got the honey?) and were wrapping up their marketing before heading back to Hanapepe and the rehabilitation projects by the Kauai Habitat for Humanity.
