All are welcome to experience a day in the ancient tradition of Japanese tea ceremony from the Urasenke Kauai Kyoukai tea association at the Lawai International Center on Saturday.
This rare event is being held in the Hall of Compassion, a hand-carved structure true to 13th century architecture built with the hands and hearts of masters from Asia and volunteers from Kauai.
There will also be a talk story time with the volunteers who worked on the Hall of Compassion following the tea ceremony demonstration and light refreshments will be served.
Reservations are required due to the availability of seating.
Donations are appreciated.
Ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
