Meeting set on electric vehicles

LIHUE — The public is invited to attend a meeting on the role that electric vehicles play in Kauai’s clean energy future.

Among the topics that will be covered are the benefits of EV usage; access to charging stations; and EV trends in Hawaii and beyond.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.

County and KIUC representatives will provide brief presentations followed by open discussions on how the community can facilitate greater usage of EVs on Kauai.
