Kudos to Lauren Yama and all the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association people on a great free keiki golf day at the Puakea Golf Course.
Wayne Miyata was going crazy with the more than 70 young golfers (including Ryan Chang, medalist at the recent JTS Tour for 14 Under) and the 40 aspiring golfers at the Princeville Makai Golf Club.
Jamie Amimoto didn’t have KIF golf so came out to help along with Rilen Loo (he golfs for Punahou) and some of the other golfers. James Alana had his little one out, following in Hiilani’s footsteps, and Ryan Dela Pena couldn’t resist a swing with the big clubs and tennis balls.
Paul Ito had his family out in force, and with a name like Kai Vogelgesang, you know the Sheraton Kauai Resort was on the scene, too.
Aida Cruz (she was selling more tickets Friday night) said this Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. is the Kauai Veterans Museum fundraising event featuring The Starlighters (Ray Domingo is trying to figure out what’s different).
