Happy Camper for Friday, March 20, 2015

Happy birthday to Nalani Brun, who did her usual great job rendering the national and state anthems at the mayor’s State of the County address.

More birthday wishes to Judy Lenthal and Kauai County Councilman Kipukai Kualii, who celebrated St. Patrick’s Day birthdays — what is a good Irish dessert?

Time is running out on getting Girl Scout cookies. Teresa Caires, the leader of Troop 823, had (thank heaven for Team Moms!) Aleah Yano, Alexis Cacabelos, Kaytlen Akau and Jayda Wakilina as well as Hailey Galam-Keller, a friend, selling cookies in the Kukui Grove food court.

Shereen Hoopii said Wendy Oyama created a lot of desserts using Girl Scout cookies, and as long as the Thin Mints hold out, Ron Horoshko has a cream pie at Birdie’s Cafe.

OK, time to go check out Warren Perry (Brother Branch Harmony said Kimo Perry, Warren’s son, is doing the Prince Kuhio service) and the Royal Order of Kamehameha at Prince Kuhio Park.
