Happy Camper for March 16, 2015

Cori Burton didn’t know Westside, coached by Josh Burton, earned accolades for participation in the county’s Division II youth basketball series.

She was joined by her younger sister Tisha and friends in playing with the Boys & Girls Club basketball at the All Saints Gym.

Kudos to Sybil Nishioka and David Murray on doing a great job with the monthly swap meet and craft fair! Cece Caldwell was busy collecting eWaste so people didn’t have to go to the Resource Center for the county’s collection, which helps reduce the carbon footprint (ever wonder how cool a job Ben Sullivan has?).

Cece is into reducing textiles going into the landfill and had bunch of recycled items made from clothing which were rejected by the thrift shops … really cool!

Alexandra Gutierrez was busy at the Hanapepe Art Night (Victoria Aiu was cool on the amplified violin), but made it to the All Saints market with her unique wood-burnt jewelry, gifts and artwork.

OK, time to go hear Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. talk about the State of the County.
