Happy Camper for Feb. 23, 2015

Elvrine Chow (she remembers the days when violets used to be planted around stairways as decorative landscaping) had no problem selling the haku with ylang ylang blooms Saturday the Kauai Community Market at Kauai Community College.

Keith Burgess met his family for lunch following the KIF Wrestling Championships at the Wilcox Gym at Island School, and Sean Magoun rushed off to coach his Kauai Soccer Association Hurricanes after dropping by to see how Kaipo Kealalio and his crew were doing.

John McClure is thrilled because an Ecuador chocolate expert told him he had some nice cacao trees, and a group from the upcoming chocolate gathering will be touring his farm and shop.

Sara Miura and Joy Koerte (she likes the pork belly at Yamato who now has dinner at The Home Depot) were also enjoying lunch at the farmers market along with Dennis Chun and his crew of volunteers working on Namahoe.
