Happy Camper for Feb. 15, 2015

Tessa Ramsey, a Sea Scout for two years, said she is Ordinary, working to become Able.

She joined other Sea Scouts and Commodore Larry Richardson (he helps coach wrestling at Kapaa High School, too) in readying the Sea Scouts ship “Decisive” for the weekend. Richardson said they would normally cruise during the Presidents Day weekend, but the small craft warnings kept the ship moored at Nawiliwili. He said it was difficult to move the boat from its slip to the loading area for fueling because of the wind.

Elijah and Chandler Martiney were also helping get the ship ready since Richardson said the newer Sea Scouts will get a thrill just to spend the weekend aboard the boat.

OK, time to go check out Chef Martina Hilldorfer and her crew at the ACF Breakfast (is Daniel Momohara going to be brewing coffee?) at the Kauai Community College.
