EEOC district director named

LOS ANGELES —The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission named a new director of its Los Angeles District Office.

Rosa Viramontes, a long-term EEOC employee, will lead the agency responsible for enforcing federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination.

The district encompasses central and southern California, southern Nevada, Hawaii, and the U.S. territories of Guam, American Samoa, Wake Islands and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
