Happy Camper for Jan. 26, 2015

Waimea’s Basilio “Bunga” Fuertes (how is everyone’s bulb onions doing?) loves a good game, and Friday he was talking about it following the Menehune’s overtime win (congratulations coaches Brandon Moises, Elton Montemayor and Neal Pigao). Gutsy Okada said next, they have to go to Kapaa.

Waimea will be on the court Tuesday for its final outing of this year’s season at Kauai High School when the JV game tips off at 5:30 (watch out for Kiarra Palacio who put in 24 points Friday).

Kudos to Char Ravelo and the Kauai Health & Wellness Association on hosting another great expo over the weekend. It’s nice to meet all of the out-of-town speakers like Patricia May (nice running into Vicky Ramos) who got help from Eva Cariffe of Twin Design Shop in Eleele in clearing her throat.

Dr. Shanhong Lu said her mom is 90 years old and still seeing more than 30 patients a day, and for the homebound, check out Pam Woolway’s sister Suzie who has a neat Wii game for checking one’s balance.
