Taba handled the reins for both the Papalina A and B teams, matching up against coach Matt Gonsalves for the Warriors A team.
Ridge Serraon dropped eight points, Chet Pimsaguan helped the effort with six points, and Hekili Dizol added four points to lead Papalina A to a 22-18 win.
Samuel Mokuahi finished with eight points and Alakai Gonsalves added four points for the Warriors A effort.
Taba stayed at the helm to lead Papalina B in the second match against Aloha State Warriors B team, which was led by the duo of Bryan Doo and Aaron Hawthorne, who redeemed the loss by the Warriors A team, 40-1.
Damon Johnson marked the sole score for Papalina B while Rigo Ceron-Flores finished with a night-high 12 points to lead the Warriors B team. Tyler Hawthorne, Iverson Corpuz, Braden James and Jeran Paleka each tucked in six points for the Warriors B victory.
Coached Chad Plowman, the Kauai Thunder won 38-23 over Hanakila B, coached by Robert Demond.
Caleb Brown and Wendall Soriano finished with six points.
Matthew Rivera topped the Kauai Thunder scoring with 11 points followed by Joe Ansel Puplava adding seven points.
The county’s youth basketball league, Division I boys next take the floor of the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center on Saturday with five games on tap starting at 9 a.m.
