Power outage today for Wainiha, Haena

LIHUE — Kauai Island Utility Cooperative has scheduled an emergency power outage from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for the Wainiha and Haena areas. 

The outage will affect about 500 customers and is necessary in order for KIUC to replace broken insulators at the Wainiha substation.
