Kauai Masonic Lodge scholarship applications available

LIHUE — The Kauai Masonic Lodge is encouraging public high school students on Kauai to apply for its annual scholarships.

Thanks to the generosity of Bob and Sally Hyman and others, the Kauai Masonic Lodge presents an annual $1,000 scholarship to a senior at each public high school on Kauai. The winner is chosen from the applicants submitting an essay on the provided topic in the application, as well as supporting recommendations, activities, high school pursuits and community activities.

A $100 Benjamin Award is also provided to a freshman, sophomore or junior submitting the winning essay at each public high school.

The submission deadline for the application and essay is Feb. 28.

Students should contact their counselor at their respective high school for more information or Kauai Masonic Lodge Scholarship Chair Karvel Rose at klodge@hawaii.rr.com.
