Ed Kawamura wants people to come learn about others in the community by visiting the Go For Broke exhibit, opening Monday at the Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue.
Many of Kauai’s veterans will be stopping in and people visiting the free exhibit will have the opportunity to talk story with them.
Kudos to Harvey Kinoshita who amassed a good body of people (Roy Nishida — he’s already looking ahead to the “Peace on Your Wings” film Jan. 25 — is the latest addition) to help coordinate this month-long event. Judi Murakami said she’s got lunch for the volunteers coming from all over, and Susan Honjiyo is probably still in need of greeters and other exhibit support staff.
If you’re looking for things to do, Waimea boys basketball coach Chris Acoba will be hosting the Seabury Hall boys to a game starting at 5 p.m. at the Clem Gomes Gym, and Kapaa coach John Kaneholani will have the Warriors on the court Saturday from 9 a.m.
