Menorah lighting in Princeville will be world’s last this year

PRINCEVILLE — The world’s last public Menorah lighting this year is scheduled to begin with a celebration at 5 p.m. Dec. 23 on the bluff at the St. Regis Princeville Resort.

The public is welcome as the tiki-torch Menorah, on the eighth night of Chanukah, is lit overlooking Hanalei Bay.

The lighting will be accompanied by a concert of Jewish music by local musicians at 5 p.m.

On Wednesday at the Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula, Oahu Kosher Chef Yudi Weinbaum will demonstrate a live kosher cooking starting at 5 p.m., followed by a tiki-torch Menorah lighting ceremony at 6 p.m.
