Crosswalk is welcome addition

Mahalo to Ray McCormick of the Hawaii Department of Transportation and crews for the new crosswalk fronting the Shell station and across from 7-11 near Kali Street and crossing Kuhio Highway in Lihue near the offices of The Garden Island newspaper. This previously unmarked area has seen countless hazardous pedestrians running across Kuhio Highway for many years. Thank you effusively for this early holiday gift of safe crossing.

Lock in lower prices with costof oil down

Now that oil prices are 30 percent lower than a few months ago, I am wondering if KIUC will have the brains and foresight to lock in lower prices via options or futures contracts. I am also wondering if we will see the energy surcharges on our monthly bills reflect these lower prices.
